What cookies are
Small files, not secrets.
Cookies and local storage are small pieces of data a site stores in your browser. Pax Orbis uses them to run the service, not to build an advertising profile of you.
What we use
Essential only, nothing else.
Essential: session and authentication cookies that keep you signed in and keep your account secure, and settings kept in your browser's local storage, such as your preferences and a copy of the screens and figures you last saw so Pax can open without a signal (removed when you sign out). The service does not function without these.
Analytics: none. The site does not set analytics cookies and does not run an analytics service.
We do not use cookies for advertising, we do not build cross-site profiles, and we do not sell any data derived from cookies.
Third parties
Who else touches this.
Stripe, our payment processor, provides a script that loads only when you open checkout. It is not on our other pages. To process payments securely and detect fraud, Stripe may then set cookies and read signals from your device and browser, such as its type and settings; that use is governed by Stripe's own privacy policy. When you connect a bank, the connection window is run by our bank connectivity provider, whose own policy covers anything it stores.
Your control
Turn them off in your browser.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking essential cookies will prevent you from staying signed in. Blocking Stripe's script or cookies may stop checkout from working; nothing else depends on them.
